Hello, my name is James Farris. Iwould like to represent the solo community in B.O.D. meetings. Actually, the most important thing to me is for fellow solo members to vote for the candidate who they think will best represent the solo community at board meetings. Get out and VOTE. If i receive your vote , i will try to represent the best interests of soloists. If you think there is a better candidate , by all means vote for them. Bottom line, vote . We need for Solo to be heard on the B.O.D. Thank you for listening, James

To be fair to our not-to-be-underestimated female (or male) counterparts, boobies should be replaceable with 'rippling pectorals and abs' on an as-needed basis. You wouldn't want to alienate any part of your voting public.

Don't worry they'll let us know. Unless of course they do a super secret election using the time honored dartboard method. Looks like we have a group of great candidates who are interested in representing the autocross community. So any of them would be fine by me.
That being said....I like Guinness - and if a frosty 4 pack ...er, case, were to appear I could certainly vote with a clear conscience... just leave it in the back of the Red Fiesta! ROFL!!!

Russ is a long time member who has participated in Solo I and II events, rallys, and road racing in cars as diverse as a SS Fiesta to a C Prod Datsun 280Z. (Shoot, I was even Driver of the Year in 1980, thump, thump) I have spent time as newsletter editor, and newsletter stapeler. I won't pretend to understand all of the politics that goes on in our club, but I have a keen mind and a taste for danger. I have been around(more or less) since 1976, have made many friends in the club , and am always real happy when some of them decide to return(John). I would have to state that my platform would be one part of the club should not be sacrificed for the benifit of another. We are known as a "racing" region, but we must remember that our core is in the solo program. MAny of our racers and workers cut their teeth in solo(myself included). Without a strong solo program, the rest of the stuff kinda goes by the board. Other points I would like to make are that I would like to hear from members as to their concerns, what they see as problems to be overcome. I plan to be at most every solo event next year,(Hey, I still harbor dreams of a Runoffs win) and if elected, I would like to inform our members of just what is going on. I'll be at the next social uptowm, let me know what you think.

Since my wifey does not play on the forum like the rest of us (only to address registration questions, etc.) I thought I would post a couple of quick notes on her behalf discussing her interest in the board and her background. Sheryl (TireBuyer) is your Solo registrar and her interest in motorsports goes back many years to dirt track and sports car racing in Ohio where she grew up. She is not a regular competitor in Solo, but is interested in doing what she can to enhance the solo program. Sheryl has also just completed her training and experience requirements as a Solo Safety Steward - again with the intent of supporting this program where needed. Some of you may even know her better as the hot-dog lady, which is a fund-raising effort for the club.
Sheryl has also been involved as a director with other non-profit boards and understands the roles and responsibilities of a board member. Her interest in the CCR Board position is to be an active voice for the Solo program.

Doc sez "you have Alzheimers"....the old man sez..."Oh, is that all - I was afraid you were going to tell me I had cancer"

Old man takes his wife to the doc. Doc says "we messed up your wife's blood sample. she either has alzheimers or aids." old man says "what do I do?" doc says" take her to a mall . If she finds her way home , don't sleep with her."
