I was wondering how intact the interior of a street prepared car needs to be. I was thinking if possible i would like to remove the carpets and what not, but not all seats as that is required, but dont want to show up and not pass tech inspection.
Thanks

Tech inspection is a safety inspection only, it does not determine class legality (though most anyone doing tech inspection would be glad to answer any classing questions you had).
Probably the most important rule in the Solo rule book is "If it does not say you can, you can not". The only allowances I see in the rulebook for the interior in SP are:
Update and backdate of parts with other cars on the same line in the rulebook Allowed to replace front seats with any fully upholstered seat Alternate steering wheel allowed Removal of factory seat belts to allow installation of alternate restraints Brake, clutch, and gas pedal covers are allowed Removal of OE radio and associated parts except wiring (have to cover any holes this makes) "Comfort and convenience" items, which is inherited from the Stock class rules.
Everything else must remain as stock.
If you want to strip the interior of your car, you may want to look at the Prepared classes.

Pretty much you have to run a full interior in Street Prep.... UNLESS your car is built to the specs for a road racing IT class (or Spec Miata). Then you can have a stripped interior.

The more i read the more it seems like running in the prepared class is the one for me. Thanks for the assistance.

Yup - Prepared class allows you to remove all of those pesky "convenience" items, such as windows, seats, carpet, dash, instruments and a lot of other stuff except the body and motor. What class you thinking of running. SoloRacer is looking for more fun in C/P and I am in E/P, but will run C/P sometimes just so I can chase James!

Sorry - didn't mean to forget the other driver in the Rabbit Farms Racing trio. Camaros tremble at the mention of your hallowed names (or are they laughing - I have a hard time telling the difference).
Should be a fun year...I miss the group already!!
