I need new tires b4 Saturday and I can get em fairly cheap at work. The problem is I was trying to get BFG Traction T/A's and their supplier said that they wont get em til early next week and my options are:
Goodyear Eagle LS(my current tire, hate em) Uniroyal Tiger Paw Something junky that I dont remember the name of(Republica's, IIRC)
which would be my best option and will the novice skool still run if it's raining?

Both the Goodyear and the Tiger Paw are pretty far down the list of tires in this class if you look at Tire Rack. The best tire in this class is the Yokohama Avid TRZ with the BF Goodrich a close 2nd. The Yoko's are also the cheapest at $59 for the 185/60 R15 if you want to stay with the stock size. Not sure if that is an option though based on your original post.
Of the options you listed, none are very attractive so I would be tempted to try and squeeze the novice class out of your existing tires unless you think you will cord them during the event. This will give yourself a little more time to try and get the Yoko or the BF Goodrich tire. If that is not an option then I would just stay with the stock tire since you are used to the handling of it. This way you aren't trying to get used to a completely different tire during the novice class, although brand new tires will still feel noticeably different.

It is probably pretty close to my wifes Honda Element though, but probably handles better due to smaller size and weight. I have Yoko Geolanders on the Element currently and have been very happy with them. They are great in the rain and pretty quiet on the road, and seem to be getting pretty good tread life, but then again my wife doesn't drive like I do! ;D

I imagine the xB is a lot more fun to drive than the Element. I was really sad the day we bought the Element. We sold my wife's '01 Jetta Wolfsberg Edition to get it. That was a fun car to drive. The Element is just so boring to drive and not that comfortable for long distance, but it is a great dog mobile. We took our Great Dane car shopping with us when we were trying to find an SUV that he would fit it. Unless we went with a Tahoe or Expedition, the Element was the only car he fit in. Pretty sad when you buy a car just to fit your dog! At least I finally got my fun car to make up for the Element.
I hope you like your new tires.

They aren't an Azenis or anything like that but they work great in the rain and drive well. I put them on my Corvette after getting tired of the T/As and they were an impressive improvement.

Speaking of tires, I have a perfect set of all season radials for any Elise running with Team Eurrip. Will donate them for free. James

I will be looking for street tires in a month or so when my new wheels come in. I was considering the Goodyear F1-GSD3 or Nitto NT555. I need something that is reasonable to drive in the rain and provides a little more comfort on the road.

Naw...we were thinking you should go with Sears WeatherHandlers with the road hazard warranty - great in the rain and good for about 100K miles no matter how you drive!!!
Should be perfect for Team Your-Up !!!

Actually...I think I even have a set of 4-ply trailer tires that would work well on your Elise... BTW - real pleasure riding with you and Anna this weekend - big difference in how you are both driving since our first event.
