Tire Rack has these on sale, does anyone have any experiences with these r-comps? So far, I've got 1 vote for getting them and 1 for no. No because they'are notorious for overheating. This past test and tune has wore my hankook R-S2 out. For the price, it's either back to my hankooks or the V700. The V700 will be for next year. Help me out here, please!

Ecsta V700s are decent tires and would be notably quicker than Hankook RS2s. Similar to a Kumho Victoracer, Toyo RA-1, Hankook Z211, etc. They are no Hoosier A6, Kumho V710, or Hankook Z214, but for the price they are still a very good tire (especially with the sale they have going on now).
Just keep in mind to order them "shaved", as they are notorious for getting a groove of doom if you run them at full tread depth in the dry.
