Okay, so I went to see the new James Bond movie tonight. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! I almost didn't think I would like it cause I thought it wouldn't really have a plot and would therefore be generally dumb. (I'd seen bits and pieces of other 007 movies but none the whole way through, so I admit I didn't really give poor James much of a chance until now. Yeah, I was a skeptic...) The movie had a plot -- actually, a good one, IMHO -- and did a great job of developing the characters in addition to having really cool action sequences and TOTALLY HOT cars! And it had two or three pretty ladies in it, as well, for those of you who're interested. Just thought I'd share.

I saw it last night too.
I was suprised by - - the fact that the best chase scene in the movie (near the beginning) was on foot - the new James Bond is IMHO the best one since Sean Connery and may be the best ever - we didn't get to see the Aston Martin DBS do much before it rolled 7 times - the twists at the end - yeah, follow the money
Cheers, Jack Mc

I agree. The chase scene was awesome, the new James Bond is way cooler than the other one(s) I've seen (uh, Brosnan :-P), Seeing that demolition of such a gorgeous car made me kinda sick-feeling...and following the money was kinda fun. Smart scriptwriters.
Or did they just follow the book for once? (anyone read the book?) Apparently they tried...

Haven't seen this one or the original... Should be neat to get the original movie and watch it back to back with the new one to see what they changed.

Better yet - read the book! Always better than the movie.
Funny story - at the opening cast party, he rolls up in the Aston and was crunching the gears...turns out he doesn't know how to drive a stick! They put him in it about a 1/4 mile away and hoped he could make it to the red carpet.
See Lagooney....other folks are stupid enuf to let someone who don't know how to drive a stick ruin their clutch too! So we are in good company!
