Ok I developed this from an idea I had from a few months ago about the team competition. These rankings take each drivers performance over the course of the year based on their overall pax results from each event they participated in. Then based on the size of the event aka number of drivers there is a multiplier. The larger the event, the higher the multiplier. There was a different multiplier used for the 24hr since the format of the event lends itself to more runs. Then the last multiplier is based on the drivers participation throughout the year. Example: fluid1 had a pax finish in 2nd place. Base points for his 2nd place finish would be 950. Add the multiplier for 148 drivers of 1.5 and his points for the event would be 950x1.5=1425. This would be a running total until the end of the season, then a final multiplier is done to figure participation along with some other 'if a train leaves NYC at 8:12pm and another train leaves blah blah blah" math. At any rate there it is, take from it what you will. My thought is take each team for this year, find their participants rankings from last year and average them. Lowest average would be most likely to do extremely well for this years team comp. 2007 RankingsIf you see a name that you can confirm exists twice due to alternate spelling or whatever, please pm me and let me know so I can update the info. This info is also from a base that I am using for the participation stuff. Thanks

This can't be right, There's no way I could be in the top 50. Beating John Byrd, David Lopez, Bret Shillock, Joey Sutton, Steven Kornhaus? But I'll take it. Thank you very much. I'd like to thank my handsome Pit Crew. My Husband. For making this all possible. My Father and Uncle Bo, for showing me this wonderful world of racing. Without you, I'd be doing something else. Thank yous.

Thank yous. that right there is the reason, participation is key with this. Now even based on raw points you were just out of the top 50, 53rd to be exact. no matter how you slice it, it was great work by you and since you won your class, its proof.

Great work Rob. The excel file works great for me. Thanks for providing this! Cool, I went ahead and did the link for the post as a normal page for browsers. Glad you like it, I personally think its pretty interesting and am interested to see how those ranks pan out for this year. ** I would also be interested in hearing peoples thoughts on the whole idea so please feel free to fire away on the questions and comments.

Nice job! Rob you have way too much time on ur hands...and I somehow got 39th. I attribute it to my extra large mouse pad actually, and 4 monitors seems to help a bit. I think its cool when people look at where they stood from last year and get excited about it. In theory the participation=seat time which as we all know is worth a ton so those who are surprised should do even better this year.

Your 8th place pax at the last event proved perfectly that they count. I wish my 25 other events could have counted
