Looking to the future of Time Trials here in the South East Division, I see opportunities to compete that may not be as available in the future. With six actual 2008 SEDiv points awarding Time Trials events on the schedule (not counting CMP at Kershaw, nor the Solo wannabes) the season for next year is in jeopardy of being thinner. For the Drivers considering competing in the CTTCTTS, it may not be apparent but at the final event of the series the *first place series class winners will have their name put in a drawing for a set of Continental/General tires. Second place series class winners will also be in a separate drawing as will third place class winners. Looking back at the historical class participation levels for TT events, it is very possible that a driver placing third in class for the three event series could be the only contestant in a drawing. *Driver Drawing participants are those who have completed in all three CTTCTT series events and finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their respective class. BTW: SCCA TT workers will have their name placed in a TT worker tire drawing for each time they work an event. That means up to three chances to win. And they will also be added to the end of year worker tire drawing held at the CCR annual Awards banquet. SCCA Club race workers will be included in the CCR annual Awards banquet tire drawing also. PS: What brand of Malt/Grape derived beverages do we want available for the May 25th, Memorial Social? Brian Gause CCR-SCCA TTC

Yes Mr T,
Full course at CMP with each class record up for grabs on the new course layout. Bring your lawn chairs for the social Sunday evening. Gourmet three course meal with grilled specialties from Chef Brian.
Reminder that each driver will receive a Series commemorative hat and series podium finishers will draw for tire sets.
Volunteer workers for Monday will receive a free Solo entry at the CCR Solo of choice. Volunteer Workers that come in on Sunday can camp free at the track.
The Continental Tire Triple Crown series hats will be mailed to each May event entrant after the event, so that I can get their name embroidered on it. First time entrants for the series after the Memorial weekend event will get a series hat without their name on it. Drivers qualify for their hat at the first event they run in the series. Only one hat will be issued to each driver regardless of how many series events attended.
The CTTC series overall finish trophies will have photos of the car and driver on them and will be unique to any we have given before.

I was not aware of this. Good thing I stayed and worked the TT. This is a great idea. A chance for Free Tires? COOL! As you can tell by the state of the coolers half-way through the social Sunday night, most workers choose Yuengling over Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite, etc.. (LOL when you said "grape-derived" my mouth actually started watering thinking about a frosty Nehi Grape.)

Yes, Don was informed and it has been posted in several locations on the forum and w-site. We also had vine but since no one asked for it and I was breaking in a new grill, I did not stop to open it. No body replied as to their perferred brewer so the supplies on hand were a guess. At Eagles Nest we will draw for worker tires. Workers from CMP, Wolf Ridge and Eagles Nest will be included. The more events worked, the greater chance to win.

Ted, The burgers were supposed to be accompanied by lettuce, tomatoes and onions which I had purchased fresh on Saturday afternoon but in the frenzy of trying to make everything fit in my one truck and limited coolers I left them in the refrigerator at home. The burgers were of 97% lean beef which makes them denser but also takes longer to cook for some reason. My guess is that fat melts out quicker and lets the heat in. You guys have some trophies with plates coming your way as soon as the Awards Center finishes the data engraving. (Name, Class and Time, if 1st, it says Track Record). It's too bad the non- competing CCR members were a no show, since it was our annual club social.

Sorry we couldn't stay longer. But : A. After one good lap and half of another, the Bandit began blowing caramel frosty oil and water out of the side of the engine B. the exhaust welds breaking on Elvira and blowing nice hot exhaust up on the the fuel tank creating extremely high fuel pressure and pre-heated fuel C. and with Wolf Ridge in LESS than two weeks ...we had to get back and get busy or accept we would skip Wolf Ridge. The BANDIT engine is out and we are working on it ...my pesky job is getting in the way. ;D If all goes well, we'll be there. Mark will have his car fixed before I have mine ready! I think my Track Days in Bandit are over. Hillclimb rotary engines with unusual air flow thanks to big wings are made for 3 minutes of high revs and shut down. 10 minute sessions of long straights and high revs on track events are just too hard on the engine heat wise. We got through TGP because it was a shorter course and cooler time of year. Like I said, it's not an autocross car, it's not a track day car...it's a hillclimb car. Simple fact...complex and expensive lesson this weekend. Still fun and thankful I got one decent timed lap in. Thanks for a great event! I'll see you at Wolf Ridge...hopefully with Bandit!
