I'm looking at getting by first Subaru. It's a "91 Legacy 5spdAWD but, it has a 2.5L 16v engine which wasn't available until '96. ECU issues?
Thoughts? Anyone...anyone...Buehler?

I ended up passing on this one...turns out it was a 2.2, the plastic engine cover(which was kinda floppin' around) threw me. When I drove it the Check Enjun light was flashing 33(speed sensor) and 42(idle switch) codes, which probably explains why the cruise control didn't work and it idled at 1300rpm...that stuff coupled with power windows that didn't work(the fronts were down 2") I decided I'd leave it for a hardier soul than I...me no need another project car but, if you want to give it a go it's at Ozark Auto Sales in Gastonia, 704-824-9095, talk to Bob...it drove like a car that has 194k on it, a bit loose but smoothish over rr trax, brakes weren't awe inspiring but did stop straight with good balance.

It sounds like it was a wonderful car...2.2 liter, illuminated dash, drives like its on rails, has anti-lock brakes, stops straight and balances well and is fast even when standing still...

Amazing how the British interpretation of car performance is a bit different than reality!! ROFL!
Had myself several British cars. I learned to point out only the positives - such as the illuminated dash. Hated the brakes on my Mki and Mk II AH Sprites. But loved the stupid little cars!

I just finished watching Jeremy Clarkson's video, "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" where he bashes American cars... yeah, we build some real crap.
But, the electrics do work...
