Hello, newb to the site. My uncle has the '84 purple VW rabbit that he generously lets me race with him  As far as what to wear when racing. Are shorts ok? when the temps are up there. I know a helmet is required, but wasnt sure about the rules on clothing. Thanks for any info and look forward to this weekends race. |

Shorts are fine, just have to wear closed toe shoes, no flip flops/sandals of any kind. Bring lots of water, sun screen, and food.

A hat is a good idea. I wear a straw stetson.
it "breathes" really well.
Wonderful idea from D. Furr.................. a long sleeved preferably white shirt will cut down on sunburn . Idea from my cousin Billy , a sock change in the middle of the day will really cool you down.

If its gonna be hot on Sunday, I am wearing flip-flops all day until I need to drive, then I'll go barefoot. j/k. Bringing the good ole chucks for to drive in.
