In case you have not heard, George Bowland is having another great season (his 26th season hillclimbing). He just keeps getting quicker in the BBR Shark.
On August 2nd and 3rd, he competed at Polish Mountain Hillclimb in Maryland and took King of the Hill honors. George won this event last year but in 2008, he bettered his time by three seconds setting another course record. This year, he was over 6 seconds faster than his closest competitor and they are taking up collections for gas money to get George to take his car and motor home and go back south.
They have been unable to raise enough money so far and George will be competing in the Duryea Hillclimb in PA on August 16th and 17th. Let's wish him well and good dry weather.
Go get 'em George! You are doing a great job of representing CCR and all us southern hillclimbers!
