I've been autocrossing for about 3 years and this gem showed up on Christmas morning: Hope to be at Wolf Ridge in 2010.

Money and time are the 2 big factors. Plus, I want plenty of time to figure out the car before I move up. All the work has been done to the car, now its time to work on the driver. I'm looking forward to getting out of 3rd gear.

Money? Time? What are those? I just do this for the particle board garage I'm building (only 827,652 pieces to go) and fancy fake gold plated plastic

Ha Ha Ha. I should have said lack of "play" money and a shortage of "free" time. The best part, spend $1000s to go fast and win a $5 block of wood and maybe a T Shirt. I'm in for the fun of it and the education. The time trial budget seems much greater than the autox budget.

Awesome, I saw that car on Craigslist & it looked to be a decent value. Enjoy the heck out of it!

The best part, spend $1000s to go fast and win a $5 block of wood and maybe a T Shirt. At work there's a trophy on the Sports Desk. It has a poised boxer on top with the inscription: "It's Just Wood, Plastic and Glass... Until You Win It" I'm sitting here looking at a 3rd place trophy from the Crow Mountain Hill Climb (Thanks, Ted & TJ) and I figure it's worth about $1000...on the low side. However, the rewards of friendship, sportsmanship and excellent competition are, as is said, priceless. Mark Seiler News/Talk 1110 & 99.3FM WBT
