I forgot to mention in the TT survey the issue of keeping class records. This is so much a part of the sport that it sould be looked at. The records are your competition, in a sense, rather than another competitor. The older hillclimbs in Pennsylvania have the records available for each of their venues available on-line and at the events. Just thought I'd bring this up before the previous results are lost.

GOOD THINKING STAN! THANKS for bringing that up.
History is NOT what happened in the past... it's what was recorded for those in the future to read. If there are no records, in one generation, that history disappears.
I have compiled most but not all of Chimney Rock records and I have about 4 programs from the late 80s and early 90s., I am missing Beech Mtns records, Sparta results and Grandfather Mtn (?) and Buckhorn Hillclimb as well. Any programs, articles or pics, I would appreciate as well.
IF you will send me what you have, I will compile, keep up and post for posterity.
Incidentally, a friend was cleaning out his garage and said he found a bunch of old news papers. No idea why he kept them so he was going through them to throw them out. Third one he grabbed was the monday morning Greenville News results from the 1995 Chimney Rock Hillclimb with pictures of John, Jerry, Mike and George, Bandit on the start line and results written up for all classes. I pick it up tomorrow... I'm a happy camper.
