Chimney Rock 1966 - the 20th year: The year that John Scott of Columbia, SC, set a new course record of 2:10.5 in his Shelby Cobra. (You know - back when a Shelby Cobra was really from Shelby, and made of metal.) Also, it was the first year that prize money was awarded for the event.
