Hi Everyone, I was planning on going to the Feb 22nd autox. This would be my first autox and I think I have everything except the numbers for the side of my car. I have a '77 Fiat Spider that I am not sure what class I am going to be in. I dont want to pay money for magnets that may have the wrong numbers and class letters. Also I plan on selling the car soon so what could I use instead?
I am extremely excited for the 22nd BTW.
Matt

Painters tape. don't use duck tape. Window chalk, found in the dollar store.
I'm the 1st person you'll have to talk to when you come Feb. 22, sign my waiver, tell me it's your first time, & I'll set you up with the right peeps.

Sorry, Insurance Waiver. If it's fun, you have to sign one.

Class depends on what has been done to the car. If you've changed the suspension, you're not in the stock class any longer.
If it's modified at all you're in CSP unless it's a 128, then it's FSP.
Give me some details and I'll let you know...

Take the time to read the 3 threads at the top - lots of info to help a first-timer. Remember we all started somewhere, so plan on coming out, meeting folks and having fun!
the Kate Hughes novice handbook is worth a download and reading - we also have an upcoming Novice school which is a real blast.

Rich,
Not quite sure what all those acronyms are but I am sure I will become more familiar Feb 22nd.
I am not too worried about what class I am in. I am just there to learn and glad I have a job unlike last year.
The Fiat has had her suspension and anti roll bars front and back upgraded. The wheels and tires are upgraded as well. Other then that stock. The previous owner used her to Auto X.
Thanks,
Matt

If the Fiat is a 128 Spyder you're in F-Street Prepared. If it's any other Fiat Spyder you're in C-Street Prepared.
Takes a while to figure it all out... don't worry, we'll all make sure you have fun!

Just signed up. Lets pray for good weather. The old 77's carbs dont like the cold.

Matt, you could also use magnetic sheets and cut out your class letters and numbers. any craft store should have them, they come either as a roll or 8x10 mats, they cut easy with shears or exacto knife. cheap and easy to remove, and easier to see at night ;D sheila

HEY!!! I know this Novice named Matt Henry. He has ran with us all year and is getting quite good I could say. LOL.
Amazing to look back at this post from the beginning of the year and see how far you have come isn't it.
