Road Atlanta's traditional first race after the double school at Roebling took place a couple of weeks ago. It was a COLD affair with light turnout. The weather had been calling for frozen precip just days before the event. This may have led to the lighter-than-expected number of cars. Gunnar Jennette and Charles Espenlaub were both on track for the races. Certainly, this is a sign of the hard economic times. Ricky Thompson, in an ITR BMW Z3, won the six hour enduro without a co-driver!! Ricky did all six hours by himself and finished on the podium!! Butch Kummer stated in the driver's meeting that this race would be moved to a different weekend because of the history of low turnout. Future date is TBD. Next race (in my mind, at least) is the Buck Muse race at CMP the weekend of March 28th and 29th. Be prepared for everything from temps in the 20s to 80s and everything from bright sunlight to driving rain, and maybe even snow. It's certainly an adventurous weekend.

(just read my post. Sorry for the redundantcy. Not sure if Ricky WON the enduro or if he got a podium. Either way, it was one helluva drive!!)
Scott
PS I got the Baby Grand back with a fresh Hayabusa engine. That's about a 50% hp increase over the car I ran at the hillclimbs last year. <evil laugh>

I'm ready for Scott... it's going to take more than a fresh howdybusa for him to catch me. I'm more worried about Stan Vann... he's been at Lowes getting some new wood floor boards for that Caldwell. If he goes to Staples and gets a new motor too, I'm in big trouble...
