will probably post this in a couple other places (mazdaspeed.com/miata.net) but since you gents are from the same general region as me figured i'd ask here to. recently installed the Hydra stand alone EMS from Flyin Miata on my Mazdaspeed Miata. ever so slowly trying to get it tuned myself with a great deal of help via email from Jeremy at Flyin Miata. however i cant help but think i might be better off to bring it to somone who can look at it in person and set it up properly on the spot as there is but so much that can be done over correspondance. any thoughts on this folks? would definately prefer somone whose expereienced with the Hydra but since theres so few of them out there this may not be possible. definately want somone whose very fammiliar with miatas (prefferable mazdaspeeds too) in general. just so many variables atm im drowning trying to do this myself even with Big-J's help. working 7days a week 8-12hour days isnt helping matters. still only had 3 days off this year and one of them was a saturday spent at the last drivers school.(had to work a 12hour shift the night of the sunday event) added the Hydra, wideband 02 option, 550cc fuel injectors, and Flyin Miata electronic boost control. already had AEM intake, FM downpipe, magnaflowcatback installed. stuff just makes it harder to set up when the tuner cant see whats happening in person... /edit duh forgot. im comming out of Spartanburg, South Carolina btw. rather avoid lengthy (100mile) drives with a partially tuned EMS if possible. thanks for any and all help guys! off to work...

Yeah, P1 is a small shop, so they may shut down at lunch. If Bob can tune the car, EXCELENT! He has a 360 rwhp Miata!! And he did the work himself at the shop.

got a reply from Bob @ P1. they wern't too keen on tuning a unfammiliar EMS. but he did offer to give any help he could with the tuning and with dyno work as needed. will definately look them up when this thing gets dialed in right. for now going to just keep doing what i can with Jeremy@FMs help. sentem a few more datalogs today as well as my most recent mapset. if all goes right though will try to get in before they close for a dyno test may13 after autox event #3 since i,ll be in the area anyway, but dont know if time will allow. might have to be "one of those guys" who leaves before cleanup that one time...not liking that idea too much. anyways, thanks for your help guys. think im going to have to just tough this out and doing it the long n' hard way though. at least when i get it right i can feel all happy inside thouhg eh? might even learn a thing or three in the process who knows... ;D happy trails! cant wait to see you all in may!
