Long title...
In a few weeks I want to have the first social of 2010 for the Charlotte area. In addition, we need to have a pre-season SOLO meeting and give out the awards for the Knight's Series and year end Folger Subaru Series awards that weren't handed out in Asheville. Also the SOLO Worker of the Year award will be presented.
It seems like Hickory Tavern is about the best place we've seen, but I'm open to suggestions. We need someplace PRIVATE. Sorry, but Titled Kilt is out, not quiet enough and no private room.

I say Hickory Tavern. we have it set for this week so we will have to cancel it for this week and rescheduale it for when we decide.

Hickory Tavern is a great venue in my opinion. I could push the distance issue and say that they built a new one in Gastonia. I don't mind the drive. The "multimedia" of the room is great for us. We just need to start utilizing that. Surely Vanessa enjoys the tips we leave her also. I do mean the waitress Vanessa.
I was wondering when we were going to do Knights trophies. Yes I'm looking forward to them eventho I will have to proceed to cut it in half and share with Justin Handy lol. Hope you'll be there to accept Justin, couldn't share it with a nicer, under the radar guy lol.

If anyone wants to bring a cd with pics or video, BRING it. I will have my laptop and can hook up the screen. and PLEASE. LETS MAKE THIS A BIG EVENT. COMEONE COME ALL. We will soon have other things going on at the meetings in the future. If there is something you want to see, or do, or hear about, let me know. we can make almost anything happen. If you are newer to CCR, or just a once in a while autoxer, you are ALWAYS welcome to all the meetings.

AJ, it's an hour + drive for me as well... I'd love to have it someplace in the southern part of Charlotte, like Ballantyne or Carowinds area.

I work in S Charlotte..its a nice area. Just throwing this out there..im not sure if they have a "quiet room" but Fox and Hound in Ballentyne is super nice.

Well Chad, look into tonight while your there  lol. I don't mind the driving. Doesn't matter what part of charlotte itself we meet, it's a drive for me lol. Always worth it though. I really enjoy living in the sticks and I'm not changing that. |
