We plan to kick off the 2010 year with our first meeting of the year thursday night February 11th at Quaker Steak and Lube just off Woodruff Rd. next to the Harley Davidson shop. We hope to see you there and that you will bring a friend. Show them THE GARAGE DOOR THAT SWCCCR BUILT! We will have updates on recent events, a report from Lemons, a long range calendar of events, updates from SCCA's SEDIV Conference last weekend and doorprizes! I have asked a few members to make some special reports I am sure you will enjoy! Please come prepared to tell us about what YOU've been up to since we last met! Attachments:

I just received word from the manager Ray Ratliff that "we added a large high-def tv to Thunder Alley(the room you utilize for meetings). Note this tv has the ability to play dvd's including audio. This makes the room remodel complete."
Hmmmmm.... I'm bringing some racing videos to play during dinner. If you have some, BRING THEM!

It is so awesome to have an establishment that is so greatful for their guests. Especially the SCCA community. Just absolutely amazing what all they have done for those of you down there.

It is very tempting for me to go down, but .... My brother's 21st birthday is Wednesday the 10th, so I'm planning on getting him trashed as much as possible this week lol.

I won't be able to make this meeting. I'm heading to Roebling on the 11th to break in and test the F600! Hopefully I'll have some onboard video to show in March.

We eat from 6 to 7 and meet from 7 to 8:30-9:00... sometimes we meet in the parking lot for another hour or two kicking tires but it's a bit cold and dark these days! Thanks!

Well I'm planning on being down to do a computer tuning presentation. If that is what you would like and people would be interested in.

Great meeting last night... considering we had 4 regular members at CMP getting ready to race in the snow, Ron in Connecticut digging out of the snow, and a couple that were ill... great turn out. We had two new visitors, Tim Olsen from Honea Path (an MX5 driver we will get autocrossing VERY soon) and a gentleman that was eating in the other room and came in to inquire about what SWCCCR did! Turns out, he's a sports car lover and he wants to autocross! Special thanks to Steve Eckerich for his report on the 24 Hours of Daytona and to Vicki who was there to represent the WINNING team from Speedsource. AJ came down from Charlotte on short notice and made a presentation on tuning your computer and engine management systems using the Hondata system. He has done some great work and did a fine job of presenting and answering questions from the group. Not only were the younger attendees interested, some of the older "carburetor only" guys (like me) were impressed. The control over timing and mixture through all revs is hard to beat. I have had two emails this morning saying how much they learned. THANKS a lot AJ. I really appreciate you taking the time to come. Charlotte chapter... get him to your next meeting to speak. He only charged us $150 speaker fees but he did pay for his own food! ;D Quaker Steak once again did a great job serving us and providing a great atmosphere for car crazy people. AJ...if you had spoken too long, we just cut the wires on the outlaw car in the picture. You did great! Attachments:

The funniest thing is .... I never noticed that car until this picture. I noticed the other one hanging through the wall though.
The interest from the room was very suprising to me. Questions about a topic like that really helps to explain it all more. There were very good questions. Such a great knowledgeable group. As Mr. Tony said to me, "I am just speaking Greek to him." is the correct way of saying it. I try my best to translate that Greek into some sort of English and hope I did that well.
I greatly enjoyed coming down reguardless of the short notice or the boring drive down. Hope to see some at the ZMAX AutoCross next Saturday.
