What's up everyone? Still new to the sport and finally got around to registering on the forums. I have already been to two events (The charity event and Knights AX#1) I'm sure most of you have already seen me, the silver Lotus with all that painters tape. Also just want to get word out there that I did not beg my parents to buy me the Lotus, me and my father had found it totaled in a junkyard and spent 6 months replacing the damage.

Haha we at CCR dont go around judging people like that. You have a car, you have the want/need to race and that is good enough for us. I saw your lotus out yesterday and began to walk up and introduce myself but got distracted..probably Mike Casino.
If you have any questions you can ask me (red Neon), or anybody else around the site.

Chad's right. We are not judgmental, but we do reserve the right to "get on anybody's case" who drives a British car. JK....seriously though, you may look for info on the forum for membership in the FCUK (Faux Cars of the UK) club who meets monthly at Archer Treacher's Fish & Chips in Concord Mills. Jack McGahey is the president.

seriously though, when i found out that your lotus had been rebuilt from scratch basically i had to give it a double take. it really looks like it rolled off the showroom floor. very good job. kudos to you and your dad. much respect for re-building it and not just buying it.

Any pics of the build? Sounds like a great project. If I only had another garage...

That is awesome. You have a facebook page of the whole project? Be nice to see that transformation a little more closely.

Lotus 21, You are so lucky. Wish my dad felt like that. I have tried to do the same for my sons. I barely met you (i signed you in on waivers) and wished you had told me your heartwarming story. please look me up at the next autocross. James

Very nice!!! I rebuilt the engine in a circa 1980 Dodge Colt with my dad when I was a kid.. Yeah, that's not quite the same.

That would be awesome!
Even if you make a book of the pictures and bring it with you to the events.
