PCM says cam timing is off one tooth or more on my 1998 Neon DOHC. So, I checked it and changed the timing belt and hydraulic tensioner. According to the timing marks, it looks dead on to me. So, I want to tell the PCM to relearn cam and crank position.

I have a snapon modus which should do that as well.

Idle is a tad rough. Above idle it runs fine.
Could the computer be trying to adjust for what it thinks is bad timing, (but isn't bad timing) causing the rough idle?
Your thoughts on this?
Can we meet?

That is very possible. I have a feeling, now this is for not knowing how it is made, that the cam sensor is off a tooth. It's not really monitoring mechanical timing but more of ignition. I'm not sure 100%, but I don't think the Modus will replace a factory scan tool and capabilities of one. I may be wrong though.

Well, I don't need the tool anymore. I sold the car - finished with Neons.
BTW: I replaced the cam sensor but that didn't help either.
