At the December meeting, we had 35 members in attendance... many of the Clemson Sports Car Club that attend with us regularly were either celebrating end of exams or heading home for Christmas.
At our meeting, we were pleased to have Mrs. Nowend from the Coats for Kids Charity present a little about their program. This is the 5th year of this non-profit volunteer program where people donate money and coats for children in low income and homeless conditions. Every dollar donated goes directly to the cause. Walmart and Lowes are helping this year along with many consignment shops in the Carolinas.
We sent around an envelope for donations and our group raised over $115 which will provide 11 coats for children that will be handed out this coming Thursday evening. This is really amazing and we did not expect this kind of response. Keri and Ted will be there helping with the Coats for Kids dinner and distribution. THANKS so much to ALL of you who gave for this cause and we truly hope your gifts will come back to you many times over this season. You people rock!
