One More Reminder! February Cars and Coffee is Saturday the 4th. That is Tomorrow.
Mr. Duckworth is bringing the SCCA DVD.
Mr. Licursi is bringing a DVD player
I am bringing a table and some Zmax event flyers.
If you are coming out and can remember: Bring your old issues of Sports Car Magazine to give away.
James or AJ: can you get some more of those "Wanna Race?" Cards?

James found a stack of Sports Car to give away. (yes! less clutter) I rounded up all the cards I could find. We must find a Board guy to have more printed. I washed the red clay off the old car. I have a DVD of Auto-X I'll bring. My next job is to get James there at sunrise.

Will the first people there be holding spots for other ccr members? As best we can, but the place fills up pretty full. Try to get there as close to 8am as possible, and we'll try to get the row on the Olive Garden side backed up to the main strip through the area. |

The Lord wants us to seek happiness and this is just one way. We are so blessed. |

Great turn out today! The CCR contingent gets bigger every month -THANK YOU for making the effort - especially in todays cold rain. Note for next month: Get up earlier! Parking is getting competitive. We did pass out event flyers to quite a few people, and we are generating interest.. I offered a few free rides at Zmax - so we'll see if we get some fresh blood. :-) Attachments:

I have no problem arriving at sunrise. But keeping the other rare Mustangs away and holding spots is not easy.
We had a great turnout today in the rain. I'm looking forward to a snowball fight next month.

Does anybody know who the Cars-n-Coffee organizer is? I was approached this morning by one of the Chefs from Olive Garden.. Apparently, at the January meet there was an altercation between one of the truck drivers delivering to them, and a C-n-C participant. He asked me to pass the word that if such a thing were to happen again, they would work to close down the event.. I told him I wasn't the organizer of C-n-C, but that I would pass the word, and SO I am. Please pass this on to everybody you know that goes to C-N-C. If anyone knows who the organizer is - please let them know.

I'm not sure if it was the rain or the lack of police presence, but there seemed to be a quite bit more shenanigans going on this morning. I hope that CMPD is back in March to help "remind" all attendees to keep it respectful. It would suck supremely for the bad apples to ruin everything and lose the location for us all. I know it inevitably happens a few times every month, but there were burnouts and slides and first gear pulls every ten minutes today. Of course it was good to see that us CCR members have more sense than to do such things; lets keep it like that and maintain our positive image with the C&C crowd. Good to see everyone this morning, despite the rain-soaked shoes. Looking forward to seeing everyone again in two weeks! |
