Looking for a 16-18 ft tandem axle trailer with electronic brakes on at least one axle (prefer dual axle brakes). I need to keep weight down a little bit so I would prefer an open deck over full deck. Other options are nice, but not needed. Budget is < $1,500. If you have one FS, or know someone who has one FS let me know. If I wait another month I may just start browsing the local trailer lots for something newer. Speaking of that, does anyone have any recommended trailer dealers?
Right now I'm browsing craigslist but it seems decent trailers are few and far between.

Check with Mark Seiler, markt on here. He picked up a nice open trailer a few years back, not sure where he got it, but was probably in the Gastonia area.

subydude that makes two of us. I have been looking for an 18 -20ft but a 16 would work. They are getting hard to find in the lower price range and still getting something worth while.

There's a few out there now, but I'm trying to stay away from a wooden deck since I won't have a place to park the trailer out of the elements. I found a company that sells tilt deck aluminum trailers for cheaper than normal, but the closest dealer is in PA.

I called the shop that CCR bought the equipment trailer from. They don't do open trailers, but Bobby gave me the number of a guy in Hudson that builds open trailers.
T&W Trailer Sales & Service Warren Killian 4388 Hickory Nut Ridge Rd Hudson, NC 28638 828-726-0161

I may give them a call. The ones in those adds were all a little pricey for me. I may just end up having to wait and save up some more money.

Went out and took some pictures of my open trailer this morning, it's a little dirty from sitting but has been sitting in a covered temporary building so it hasn't really been in the open elements. It's a 7' X 16' has electric brakes, tire rack, a hand winch, ramps slide in from the rear, 215/75/15 general tires, the center is an open deck but I made plywood centers that are removeable.has about a 2'dovetail, axle's are 3500 lb. if you are intrested give me a call or e-mail me.Thanks Willie 704-450-3988 Attachments:

For those who are looking for a 16' trailer, NutDriver Racing has one for sale. It's currently north of Atlanta, but can be brought to the CCR region without a major headache. nutdriver.org/blktrl_ForSale.shtmlThis link has numerous pics of the trailer with BIG box on the front. It needs paint, but has new tires. Price is negotiable. Scott

I got mine from Woody Lochman in Lincolnton, he actually ordered mine for me. Also, Ray is doing tire racks and upgrades on trailers but, isn't to the level of making them, yet.
