Hal Crocker passed on to me.. "Toly Arutunoff is in bad shape due to a car acident. Last night the roads were icy and he was helping a motorist on the side of the road. Another car crashed into them. You can go to Karen Arutunoff's Face book and keep up with his situation. " He appears to have been crushed between cars and may have lost a leg in the accident. He's a great guy and real sports car racing historian... he didn't just write about it, he lived it. Attachments:

February 22nd was Toly's first day of being conscious all day. His blood work ups did not look good for several days after but he has improved a good bit since then. He is having visitors now and his appetite and sense of humor are returning. Recently a nurse asked if he would like to be upright or reclining and he said "I'd rather be in Paris." On his wife's Facebook page, there's a video of Toly and a bunch of friends came to see him and sang Wild Thing... you can see he really enjoyed it. I swear, he will get enough out of the stories from this experience for 2 more books...and I'll buy 'em!

I met Toly at Chimney Rock in the 80's. I drove my RX7 that year and he was in his Morgan. Had a great visit with him in the restaurant at the top while waiting for our call to go back down the mountain...I hope he recovers..what a neat and friendly guy.

I just looked at his wife's Facebook page. It seems he's doing better!
