2011 Season Tech Checklist
All competitors will arrive at tech ready to race. If you are not ready don't come to tech.
1. Numbers: must be on the car for tech, no exceptions.
All numbers MUST be a contrasting color to the background
Numbers must be 8" tall 1 1/2" stroke class letters 4" tall 3/4" stroke.
Numbers should be positioned on side of the car not on the glass.
2. Helmet Snell 2000 or newer dot only is not allowed, no exceptions
3. Look for drips, small drips may mean big problems question them, do not assume it's ok.
4. Car must be empty of loose items and drivers floor mat removed.
If the car isn't ready NO TECH NO EXCEPTIONS
5. Battery OEM tie down, metal tie down or ratchet strap minimum, battery MUST be solidly secured. Bungee cords are not allowed. No exceptions.
6. Throttle cable must have a return spring, drive by wire is exempt.
7. Wheels/Suspension, tech inspector will yank hard on all four wheels any clunks or shifting of parts must be further investigated. If a loose part is found the car will not be allowed on course until the tech inspector is satisfied it is secured. All lug nuts must be present and tight. NO EXCEPTIONS.
8. Seat belts: lap belt is bare minimum, all belts must be bolted in tight. Inspector will yank on all belts. If a loose belt is found car is not allowed on course until it is tight and tech inspector has Ok'd the car to run NO EXCEPTIONS.
9. Steering wheel must be securely fastened to car, quick release wheels will be put on and checked.
10. Seats, must be securely bolted to car using ALL mounting points, if seat is loose or has missing fasteners car is not allowed on course until seat is properly secured, NO EXCEPTIONS
11. If a leak developed while a car is on course it may not return to competition until the leak has been cured to the satisfaction of one of the following: Event chair, Safety steward, or Tech chief.
If any of these points are failed driver will go to paddock and may return after issue is dealt with, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
