I'm proud to announce that racing's greatest promoter, Humpy Wheeler, will be our keynote speaker at this year's Awards Banquet. Not only has he done some of the most outrageous promotions but, he also worked with Elliott Forbes-Robinson to bring the 600 Legends Race Cars into existance and which are raced around the world.
His full bio would fill a book, in fact...
He will also have copies of his book available, Growing Up NASCAR, which he will autograph.

 Awesome ... this guy can tell some stories and you will be glad you came to hear him speak. He has quite a history from being a Defensive Lineman at USC in the 50s and promoting many Indianapolis and Salt Flats events to stirring up the Cale Yarborough vs Darryl "Jaws" Waltrip fight... and being the voice of TEX on Pixar's film CARS.Between good food, awards and fellowship and Humpy, this will be worth the trip! I can remember going to a race at the Gaston County Fairgrounds when I was a kid. Humpy was the promoter, and the sound system went out.
A few minutes after it went silent, Humpy climbed the pole to the speakers and re-wired them. The next thing I know, he's representing Firestone in Formula 1!!!! Not bad for a Belmont boy.
Everything from Lemans Prototypes to Jalopies is his domain! He will be a great speaker.
