New To Area... NEED HELP!

Hey Guys,

I currently live in NY and have been racing Autocross up here in the north east for a while with my 2006 Evo 9. Due to my job I am being relocated to Charlotte NC in a few months.

I am sponsored by a lot of great companies and well I know nothing about the racing leagues down there. PLEASE HELP!

I will be moving into the Waxhaw area and Im looking for some Autocross and Time Attack leagues that are close to me. Can someone please help out and let me know what leagues there are, where the events are held.

I was racing around 23 events a season up here in NY and would like to race in a decent amount down there also. Are there any Pro or National events held in this area?

You are coming the right area. There are many ppl in this area that do more than 23 events a year. I believe that would be a slow spring lol.
CCR does a number of events in the Charlotte area. A short drive north around Greensboro is Triad Sports Car Club. To the west two hours around Asheville is Highlands. South Carolina Region does events around Greenville and Myrtle Beach mostly.

CCR will be bringing the first Evolution series event in April. There are a few Tour and ProSolo events that come within a ten hour drive.

Our season ramps up in mid-February and runs into early December - we have a non-points Autocross event this coming weekend in fact...

CCR is active in Autocross and we have a strong TT contingent addicted to Hillclimbing. There are a number of road racers as well. As Aj said - there are several clubs/regions within an easy drive, so you should have no trouble finding something pretty much every weekend.

Also as Aj said - we're going to be the hosts of the Inaugural Evolution Super Shootout Auto-x format here at Zmax dragway in Concord, NC. We're hoping that leads to regular tour dates as well. I think Atlanta is the closest regular national tour location- about 5 hours away. We are also hosting 2 Hillclimbs this year (so far) near the famous "Tail of the Dragon' in western NC.. and the list goes on...

If you're willing to drive up to 3 hours you can autocross just about every weekend.
We were in Waxhaw, great town. Plus it's 45 minutes to CMP.
