Just as Honda and torque are an oxymoron .... Shady side and traction is the same. Lol.
I did most of the tuning on my crx at shady side though. Of course I needed a safe environment to get a lot of runs to fix the ignition curves and in the end limit the boost levels.

Union Dragway is in much better condition but I don't know if they will be doing something like this. Last time I was there I was talking to the guy who owned it. He was thinking about doing this, but said he may close it. He said he wanted to redo and add a few things.

For me - I've never drag raced, so this is more of a chance to do something different and get some experience shifting quickly - which I really don't do much.
Point being - i won't probably notice the difference in condition and traction

What everyone needs to learn but you don't really have a chance to do often on an AutoX course is properly heel-toe downshifting. Can't really practice that at a drag strip

I need to build a custom shifter so third won't be a reach

Eric, depending on the course today, you should ride with me to see how quick my shifts are. Yes, they come from my drag racing background.

We realise some of you will be out late on NYE & are going to lay about on Sun....But if any of you peeps are looking for an adventure, you are welcome to join in @ any point along the journey...It is rare for us to have 2 wkends in a row off 2gether so we like to pack it in...
