Hi Everyone!
WHAT: BMW CCA Street Survival Teen Driving School
WHEN: Saturday, March 3, 2012 7:30am-4:30pm
WHERE: Old Sanford Airport, 3000 Airport Road, Sanford, NC
WHY: To give our knowledge back and make the roads safer
If you want more info, see below. For those who know the drill, please reply to me (booflick@yahoo.com) as soon as possible by answering the following questions:
1) Will you instruct/volunteer to help with this event?
2) Will you be available on Friday, March 2nd to help with venue set up?
3) Do you have any ideas for improvements or changes from last time?
4) What is your preference for student to instructor ratio, and why?
5) Please add any comments or suggestions so we can incorporate them into our next event.
If you don't know about Street Survival, it's an exceptional teen driving safety program that emphasizes car control and accident avoidance to break bad driving habits before they start. Click here for more info: streetsurvival.org/
If you coached for us last year, you can sign up on MSR at this event: www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.advert/uidEvent/C545D6FF-ABB7-C693-2B14531756DF9518
If you didn't coach last March, contact me to be added to the coach roster before registering. MSR may treat you like a student otherwise.
We need 50-60 instructors (including advanced "A" group and ITS candidates) and as many volunteers as we can get. The venue is the Old Sanford Airport (now an emergency services training center) where THSCC runs many of their autocross events. Its just a hop, skip and jump from the Triangle and is even closer than VIR for most of you.
This note is intended to solicit instructors, but please forward to anyone you think would like to be involved in any capacity. Advanced "A" level students and ITS candidates are strongly encouraged to instruct at this event. Its a perfect venue for you to play an instructor role. We also need exercise leads and cone shaggers as well as classroom, registration and hospitality staff.
We hope you can help us provide this amazing and potentially life-saving experience for as many teen drivers as possible. Please excuse us if you get this multiple times. We're recruiting through numerous outlets.
Thank You,
Phil Antoine (booflick@yahoo.com)
