Can anybody provide a link to become a member? The main site ccrscca.com's link (to join scca on-line) is not working.
Thank you Jason

I was looking there to try to help him .... as I've noticed before the SCCA web site is one of the least user friendly sites I ever go to ... finally found the link for him .... go the above site and on the far right end click on "TOUR SCCA" there is a join now button

What I'd do is download the form - fill it out and bring it to Zmax along with a check.. You will then get that days event for free. Oh yeah- use me as a referal too... I'll pm you my member #

Also, what class would I be in if my car is stock except aftermarket rims, 245 width tires and a short shifter? Thanks, Paul

What car and what size wheels compared to stock size?

The car is a 2004 VW GTi VR6. I think stock wheels are 17x7.5 with 225 tire. I have a 17x8 with 245 tire.

Can I run in DSP?

Sure... but... uhhh.... why would you want to? The ST* classes are the place to be. Lots of competition, cheaper to run since you don't need Hoosiers to be competitive, and a ruleset that allows you to do some still streetable stuff to the car.

Depends on the width of the wheels and tires as to if you fit in STX or have to run in DSP. Go to the CCR home page. There is a link called "DIY car classing" that shows some tire specs for STX. More details on wheels are found in the SCCA Rule Book.

^He can run either STX or DSP with 17x8's and 245's. STX will fit your car better though.

You can run DSP in Tire Class, if you would like more competition. But STX regularly has many drivers, and is a very competitive class.

IF I bring the SCCA registration to the track will I be able to receive the points for this event that go toward the championship?

Just a reminder... the join and get a free AX is only for NEW SCCA members. If you're renewing, sorry, you don't get a free entry.
Clear?

Correct, Im a newbie. But I plan on doing a full season in FS stock so I wanted to make sure that this event my points would count if I happen to get any.

To run for points you have to be a member by the half way point of the season.

Thanks, Paul You can run stock if the other competitors don't mind giving up a 1/2 inch wheel advantage
