I want to thank Ron Wilcox, John Finger, and the rally driver whose name escapes me at the moment for making the meeting last night in Greenville one of the largest and most memorable we've had. Ted and I were trying to get a head count last night and my guess-timate is that we had about 50 folks there. Steve and Vickie, you missed it! :-P~
Scott Franklin
PS I STILL think that Ron needs to to a one-day school in a pouring rain since he didn't have any rain at Roebling! (how is that even possible??!!)

What he said! ;D Great meeting and thanks to all who came. Rally driver was Andrew Frick. One of the things I like about these meetings is the mix of people... last night we had a Professional driver, a BMW/Skip Barber driving instructor, a past SCCA road racer now round track car designer and fabricator, a 50 year Member member and 7 time SCCA National road racing champ, 3 rally drivers, 2 race shop owners, many autocrossers, 4 Time Trial drivers, regional autocross manager, 3 BOD members, 4 NASA road racers, Clemson students, 2 drifters, 3 old Chimney Rock Hillclimb drivers and a vintage car race driver. Ages from 2 (Jeremy Cox's son Caleb) to 80 years old (Jack Lawrence). 3 people from Charlotte Gastonia area, 2 from Hendersonville, and 2 from Jamestown, NY visiting. Sports car racers have a bond that spans age, time and distance.
Thanks again to Andrew, Ron and John for presenting ... SUPER job. Anyone got any ideas on how to top that next month? Scott and I are looking for speakers so let me know if you have some ideas!

I've always liked Infinity home speakers and Kenwood speakers for the car, Ted.

AWESOME! Scott Franklin will be next month's speaker on car stereos. Pass the word! Scott has extensive experience in rapid removal and distribution of used stereo equipment from his years working for Nickie's Midnight Auto Supply. Their motto was : "If you can show us where one is, we can get you one JUST like it!"

It as great. I'm very glad to have made it down for this one. I wouldn't mind talking about ECUs again in the future. Just throwing at out there.
