2012 Autox PicksD Stock: No winner. Yes, that’s my official call. John Brotbeck and Michael D’Amico figure to have a great early points battle, but I doubt Brotbeck will show for enough events to qualify for the Championship, while Michael will probably trade cars by June or July, and be running in a different class. You know? If Brotbeck doesn't win this class, he should be the one buying the steaks!  |

I like JBs run down commentary for his picks. I believe these are a lot closer. Great job! I'm pulling for the Byrd!
I like the thought of a march madness type of event by event who will win pool, for everyone. Maybe this should be implemented.

John,
Since the SCCA in it's infinite wisdom decreed H&N devices for club racing, I have no other plans this year. I think it's a stupid rule, and even if I wanted to comply, I don't have the money. So I am going to play where H&N dealies are not required. The Pinto is going to be massaged this year into a very good auto-x car.

Ted, you may need to change your prediction for me. The Miata is pissing me off royally, and if I can't get it running I may just run the MINI in Tire class all year, just spending this year getting the Miata back into running shape.

Walter, I'll admit I like and agree more with JBs STS pick, but I don't discredit you or the rest of the old men in the class. I knew it was a competitive class with talented drivers before I moved to it. I didn't expect the results to be as close as they were. 5 of us within .3-.5 seconds at many events last year. I enjoy competing with you guys. The trash talk and comradery we all have at the same time is humorous.

Sorry, John. After performing flawlessly for a week, when my runs came up, The Camaro had a hiccup and would not crank for me. Minor problem, now it needs a new home.
But don't despair, in spite of budget constraints, the SVO's replacement is almost online.
Think SVO with about the same power and lots less weight. Anyone want a C/P project car?

B Stock: Randy Cogburn Only time will tell if he remains in B Stock for enough of the season to qualify, but still he will be the one to beat. If he switches to ASP, he will win the Championship of the class in which he completes the most events.
This motivates me!
Greg Pressley, thats all.- thats a good choice but theres a little known wolf thats going to make things interesting this season.
