I need some help classifying my car. The car is a '99 Miata.
It was a CSP car until about a year ago when I pulled out the carpet and most of the plastic interior panels to cage it (the car became a track toy). Honestly it weighs more now than it did in CSP trim, so no weight loss there. I looked through the SOLO rules and didn't see any mention of carpet / interior removal at a class lower than prepared. I even looked into claiming it as an IT road racing car, but I have a lightweight flywheel (not allowed in IT).
Have I overlooked a rule in the SOLO / GCR rule books or am I going to be stuck in DP unless I replace the flywheel?

DP as it sits now.
Could be CSP if you put the interior parts back (PIA, I helped on one Miata)
Could run in CSP via the IT catchall if you had 14" or 15" wheels up to 7" wide and put a stock flywheel on. (I'm assuming you have the '99 motor and stock brakes)

Could run in CSP via the IT catchall if you had 14" or 15" wheels up to 7" wide and put a stock flywheel on. (I'm assuming you have the '99 motor and stock brakes) Stock motor and brakes and using Spec Miata wheels (15x7). I don't have the time / space to replace the flywheel now. Looks like I'll be in DP for the next couple months until I get around to swapping that out. Thanks for the help all.
