Its not a good autox unless you get burnt... and when you are as pasty as me, that's pretty much every time, even in February! Great job today everyone. Despite the late start we were able to minimize delays and end up with a great event. Props to AJ, Mike, and all the core workers for all the hard work, and to everyone else for making it a successful first event of the year!

Didn't expect a sunburn in February, but that evil orb of nuclear fusion in the sky sure showed me!

Thank you guys. It was so nice to be together going fast again.
Anyone notice that there was only one real delay, once we started excluding breaking cars? Go figure, flipping batteries. Or that the barcode scanner worked the whole day? O yea.
Although I was running around on fire as usual, it was an AMAZING day.

Well this ginger definately got toasted! I don't know the limitations of the registration system but with such a large amount of entries I foresee that being the weak link. Being its going be harder to change peoples minds about showing up early to register, then the only options are to 1) Improve registration process 2) Enforce late registration fee- "make a time cutt off to be in line" 3) let it be and have the possibility of late starts. So I assume yesterdays late start was because of the huge line at registration, but it was executed great and the end state was awesome.

ya late start was due to sheer number of drivers. not sure if the emergency crew was kept too long or if we were able to limit that cost. seems like we were done about 15 after 5. maybe they were nice and let it slide?
great event and great job to my tech inspection helpers, the raley's, mike kuhn, taylor carr couldnt have done it without you! thank you!
we did have one slip by that maybe shouldnt have and ill take the blame for that one. other wise fantastic job all!

Marske, its ok. We only get better. I give a lot of credit to you guys for getting everyone through in such a timely manner. Great job Tech Chief!!
Adam, the late start was all because of large registration line. It will be corrected. Keep an eye on the forum in the next few weeks for updates on it. We can only get better and we will.
Results coming very soon.

Thanks to the whole CCR crew for all the work it takes to put on a event with this large of lot size and driver field, I really enjoyed getting to drive in February on a nice big lot for 2 years in a row. Sorry for taking out so many cones during the first run, I wasn't quite prepared enough for the big difference in tire warm-up after running the Hoosier A6's last year.
One question...when I went through tech I received a new 2011 annual inspection sticker that was placed upside down over last years 2011 annual inspection sticker. Does this count for my 2012 annual inspection or was this only good for the Z-Max event? Thanks.

My understanding is that this was only for zmax. 2012 annual tech is potentially occurring at the novice school next month.

as I understand it, CoolGuy094 is correct .. the 2011 stickers were only to denote your passing of tech at ZMax ... they'll do something else ( I guess ) at Metrolina if the 2012 stickers aren't available

I feel that CCR's SOLO program is in good hands!! Thanks Rich, glad to do it. But we should also thank Mike D'Amico, without his timing expertise, we wouldn't have an event. He is the unsung hero of CCR.

Thank you Rich and Mike is correct. As much as my head was on fire, truly a great event. The phone calls, PMs, emails, text messages, and posts on other forums have been nothing but positive. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the event so much.
Annual Tech for 2012 will take place at the Novice School!
