If you want to help at the Novice School, it is appreciated, but we need you to have a purpose for helping. Like Learning Timing, Registration and Waivers. We have good people in place, but can always use more help as people will miss events and new people will have to step up.
If you want to help, let us know what you want to learn. Remember registration require a very, very early start to your autocross day.

Remember registration require a very, very early start to your autocross day. Waivers gets you started pretty early as well, but we need help in the mornings. I know James is attempting to phase out and I won't be able to be at every event this year. Plus everything moves quicker and is more fun with two waiver workers in the morning. Also remember that waivers is a constantly worked position throughout the day. We need to have a member working the gate during every run group. I am sure we will discuss this during the school, but see AJ, Mike, James, or myself to volunteer.

This is a volunteer organization, and we need some volunteers to step up and take some responsibility. Vanessa can't be the only person leading registration, James needs a break with waivers, and needs some more help than just Andy. Mike D needs some help with timing as well. I have been autocrossing for 4 years now and have seen the same people do everything.
It's time for new people to get off the bench and lend a hand.

I'll be there ASAP that morning as usual, T/S is my forte, but I'm knowledgeable with Reg as well.

Well said and so true Mike. We need more people to step up. We are quickly finding places for people to fill in.

NOTE: Waiver person needs to be an SCCA member, not just Weekender

Thanks Josh and Thanks Lee.
But that still doesn't change the fact that we need more help. Josh and Lee are helping with registration and timing. It doesn't seem fair that they should do 2 work assignments. We still have a small few doing all the work.
We should have a solid 12 people to do timimg and 6 people to do registration and 6 to do waivers, and we do not have half of those numbers.
186 drivers at ZMax and we can't get help! Just ridiculous!

I'll be there as a student this time, but during my work assignment I can help teach timing. I'll be one of the core timing workers like last year.

Almost everyone that does registration also does timing at just about every event. They don't mind having the cushy jobs Chris, I assigned you months ago. My magic clipboard says you are instructing a Lotus when not driving yours.

Remember when August comes around and it's hot as hell outside and how you wish you could be in the Timing Trailer with the A/C.
I'm just sayin'

Marske, that is true but I've armed them with a stick lately. Maybe that is my next sign to make.

No, they are self armed Thank you Duck for stepping up to the shady trailer. You got a good learning experience in. Timing went incredibly smooth yesterday until someone did an Eric Peck.
