659–671 Main St Lugoff South Carolina 29078 United States
This address will get the pen drop close. Look south of pen. 2 large lots east and west of each other. It is in kershaw county so it would be ccr turf.
I can take photos on my way to beach tomorrow if need be

Travis Can you post a link to the google map coordinates? This looks like it could be it.... 34.233279,-80.659295 I went to Camden and followed train tracks till I found a factory. Couldn't really find an address for them on the web, but I'm guessing that's it. Edit: Bah, he beat me to it... and double bah, it says "DuPont Blvd" right across the street

What did you think about it?

What did you think about it? Looks like a possibility.. On Google maps, you can actually take a street level view right up the middle of the lot. Not much detail, but you can see parking stops up near the building, but not elsewhere. Couple of poles, but they are not all over. Both good things Ultimately, our Solo program co-chairmen would have to look it over in person, then see if Dupont would even let us play there. While inside CCR territory, it's on the extreme southern border of it. They'd have to determine what kind of turn-out we would get. Personally, I'll go just about anywhere for a points event, but that's just me. I would also add: THANKS for cruising the satelite images looking for sites. Just my completely unofficial 2 cents worth..

No problem Eric. I get worried when I read autocross 5 site TBA. I don't want to get mid season and run out of places. And cultivating new back up places can't hurt if we have fresh spots in the wing

Anything ever happen with the Darlington speedway site that was referred to CCR? The owners very much wanted an autocross event there.

Has anyone seen it in person? I can't tell if the lot has any curbs or not. The lots size looks good from Google Earth, and is 1000ft x 350ft which is very nice, but that's if it is not separated by islands in the middle, which would make it worthless.

Nope, it is in Darlington County which is part of CCR. Last summer the a Darlington representative contacted SCR (due to the nearby SCR site in Florence) asking us to consider multiple events per year there. Since it's in CCR we forwarded to CCR BOD and they contacted Darlington's representative. That's the last I heard of it...

The lot at Darlington was not a choice one considering the location and its size/condition etc. We are working on getting a team to North Carolina Speedway(Rockingham) to see their lots and track located in the rear of the big oval.
