TL;DR; Tell me what you would want to see out of automotive blog in regards to events specially AutoX. Ohh and I hit enter on the poll thats a bad thing <_<
So I came to the realization that I don't want to be one of the photographers who come and charge per picture and blah blah blah. Mainly I enjoy coming out to shoot and I do not want to interfere with Vendors or other photographers, but obvious I still need to try and recoup some of the money/time I spend.
So I've took Photomyevents and kind of have been moving it more into a photoblog/automotive blog. I came with the name OutsidetheGarage and I've been working Jordan and a few other photographers to start not only taking pictures but to start telling the story of the events to. AJ doing stupid things, Duckworth lining up timing, whatever.
Other media outlets/sponsors/vendors:
Wait 1 week before release photos, blog article, etc. Allow them to tap their market. Unless given permission other wise. We do not want to interfere with sponsors/vendors/etc. If they are not present then business as usual, but if I'm aware they are present I plan to hold back. (Mainly I kill my self that following day trying to go through all the pictures, good excuse to be lazy XD)
Hope to be able to work with other media outlets to promote each other work. Obvious we will have different markets that are attracted to different articles, I cover a lot of the AutoX and track stuff, but I also do Drifting and a lot of the Import car meets.
AutoX:
I would love to have some kind of video of people talking about how AutoX has helped to make them a better driver, what they enjoy about it and where they hope it would take them in the future. I plan on doing a little bit talking about locations we at, a little about the meets take a lot of what would be typed and basically say it instead.
I want to move to more video, generally get some great GoPro Footage from Eric Peck and a few others. If you'd like to let me GoPro your car just let me know I generally have 2 GoPros on me, by doing so you allow me to post it up on youtube for the world to see though

We want to grow not only CCR, but also the AutoX community as a whole. I'm involved in 3 of the "local scenes". Charlotte, Triad and Jordan has pretty heavy influence in Raleigh area. We had I believe 7 of our friends who where at Novice school and a lot of which it was their first time out. We trying to get other photographers to come out and just people to watch. As it grows so will we, that has been proven over and over to me in the year I've been out here watching and shooting.
I know there was some issues last time at zMax, and we worked to try and find out who the person was and it seemed to be just a random person by. We want to ensure that we try and keep a good eye on whats going on at the event and not just the event, to ensure that we don't loose locations because of this.
We are hoping to work with a lot of the shops, sponsors and people involved in AutoX to provide unique stories to our fans. I've had a chance to work with Draco Performance, and K Parlett Racing and we are looking forward to expanding these relationships and forming some new ones as well.
From covering a Deep South Mopars show we gained 200 views to the blog basically what I had from starting it. An average article from AutoX is like 20 views if that. So pictures will pretty much be linked in the blog articles to try an drive traffic there first.
