Kart Sale: I Just finished converting a very clean CIK “First Kart” TaG rolling chassis into a Box Stock Clone kart. This track ready package contains many new conversion parts and is a perfect offering for someone wanting to do some Autoxing or join the wheel to wheel racing class at CMP. New parts include the latest box stock yellow clone engine package, motor mount, clutch, axle sprocket, chain, tires, and new Tillett ¼ padded seat. The engine still has break-in oil in it and has not been on track yet. Asking price is $2000/BO. Removed TaG parts are included in the sale. Excuse my kart illiteracy but is this a shifter?

Not a shifter. a TAG kart is a "touch-and-go", which generally refers to it being a two-cycle electric start 125cc engine. This kart began life as a TAG, but now runs a MUCH less expensive engine. a TAG engine is generally $1500 and up new. A "clone" engine can start at as little as $200 or so. If I had $2000, this would be gone already. As an aside, I have heard TAG owners state that they are as fast or faster in lap times at CMP's kart track as shifter karts. You'd have to check time sheets to see if that is true.

Price reduced to $1500. Kart now has approx. 20 laps at CMP and I have added 4 new Douglas wheels and tires to the package. I will also throw in a karting jacket and neck collar. Possible delivery to CMP available.
