For those that haven't heard yet, I am organizing the first ever East Coast meeting of Z3/M Coupes here in Charlotte on July 6-8, 2012.. The event is called "Der Schuh Syndikat". The unique German name pays homage to a major European BMW event: BMW Syndikat-Asphaltfieber, which takes place every year near Obermehler, Germany. www.syndikat-asphaltfieber.de . Ironically, and totally coincidentally, Der Schuh Syndikat 2012 meet is taking place on the same weekend as the German event. The “Drive for 65” is an active effort to set a new record for a coupe gathering. 65 Z3/M Coupes in one location has never happened; at least not since leaving the factory. Dorkfest (a similar meet on the West Coast) is also trying to break this record later this summer. So a friendly East-vs-West challenge is underway. Other BMW owners are welcome to attend, but the event will be focused on the coupes. There is a full weekend planned, and its going to be awesome! Registration for the event will open in a week or two. What I need is your help finding other Coupe owners. If you know anyone who owns one of these cars- please tell them about this meet. www.SchuhSyndikat.orgor friend request "Der Schuh Syndikat" on Facebook

Oh.. and I meant to add... I would really like to get an SCCA table set up at the Saturday Afternoon Shoe-n-Shine-n-Dyno part of the event. Since many of these people would be out-of-towners, it would be more of an SCCA promotion in general, instead of CCR.. Anybody interested in hanging out the afternoon of July 7?

This is next weekend. Not nearly the response I had hoped for, but we'll have 9-10 Coupes on hand - probably more than anyone has seen in one place. (more than I have ever seen).
We'll be at Cars and Coffee Saturday morning, then moving on to CES Motorsport in Indian Trail for the afternoon. Some of us will be going on the dyno, and a couple of these cars are BOOSTED.
Spectators are welcome, and I hope some of you will consider coming out. We'll have some raffles to support Jeffreys Toy Closet, and given the low registrations, I could use your support to help them out.
