Are we not attending these events as a club anymore? I just found out they had one at nc music factory yesterday.

The old location was easy to find each other, but the new one is so big, we all parked seperately because we didn't see each other when we arrived. Perhaps we should meet somewhere else then caravan in together? Anyway - I would say there were 300 or so cars - a big contingent of Lambos and Porsches. BMW's were well represented as well, since BMWCCA coordinated this with the Open House at the new Hendrick BMW Northlake. In related news... I've learned that the Tarheel BMW-CCA doesn't run autocross events like some regions, so the Charlotte chapter is going to start publicizing CCR Autocross events. Here's to a sea of blue and white propellers! |

I like the idea of going to C&C as a Club. Great way to get what we do out there and another chance to see old faces and have a good time. And who doesn't want to drool over Twin-Turbo Gallardos and a plethora of other wet dream cars. I know I do. There are plenty of places in the surrounding area of the new location to meet up and caravan there as a group. Go in race trim as well. Makes people wonder what the all the stickers, magnets, cone marks (and in my case CMP brake pylon paint) are for. Personally I noticed this month more people looking at my car just because I had my class and numbers on than when I went last month. And people asking about it as well.

Is this still typically on the first saturday of the month? I don't live in Charlotte anymore, but I visit enough that I can make some of these. Only made one at the old venue before they got shut down, but it was good times.

Yep - first saturday of the month.
Joshua - we had ramped it up pretty nice late last/early this year doing exactly what you described.. until they got shut down at northlake. We just need to get back into it again - except for those saturdays we'll be running.
