We're planning on having a Christian Fellowship Service on Sunday at Chasing the Dragon. Like last year we'll do this at the start line around 11:30.
All are welcome. Hope to see you there.

Mark, Just an idea. I have had Rich Shafer on my mind recently and I think it would be nice to remember him at this time.

Nice job today Mark! I had sought out the shade of that easy-up just in time for you to start the service. I'd forgotten you were going to do it.
I guess somebody thought I should be there. :-)

I enjoyed it. I wished I had known ahead of time because I missed the beginning. Next time could it be put on the "official schedule" and maybe announced to the volunteers on the control net as we are released for lunch? I figure there were probably others that were sad to be missing their church families on Sunday who would have enjoyed some fellowship with the racers. The area is also very "God fearing" (alcohol laws, silent hours...) and would probably appreciate that the racers love the Lord as well.

Sorry I didn't get the word out better. Plan on Sunday 11:30 at the start line for the fall event...just like this one.
We're also planning a service for the Charlotte Motor Speedway event in August. Probably at 11:00 since we go hot at noon. Stay tuned for more details.
