Has anyone seen anyone selling used car parts for new part prices? Im a avid bargain shopper, Mark can vouch for this, he normally gets stuck helping install my bargains. There is nothing that fires me up more than when you get someone who's used something for 50k miles and then tries to ask 95% of the new price for the item, I mean REALLY PEOPLE?
What are you LOL stories?

ARC had a line of expensive intakes, heat shields, and spark plug covers for the S2000 but recently went out of business in the past year or so. Every now and then you will see a little ARC heat shield for sale on s2ki.com for something stupid like $600. I guess that is a little different because the company is gone now, but still... $600 for a heat shield?!? And people still buy the crap!

...a little different because the company is gone now, but still... And people still buy the crap! It would seem Dinan parts are going that way for the MINI as they stopped making them.

Dinan and AC Schnitzer parts are in their own category. ACS made an aftermarket rear spoiler for the Z3 coupe. No longer in production. When you can find one, its really expensive. So much so that there are now 2 grassroots sellers that made molds and are reproducing them.
When buying regular oem used parts, its always a good idea to check the new price first.
Supply and demand.
