I have 3 sets of wheels and tires and I'm looking for a place regular go to that doesn't charge $16 a wheel.
I met a guy at CMS that said he'd do them for $8 but he's up in Concord which is too far to drive.
I called a Mark listed in another thread and he's pretty reasonable but all the way up in Lake Norman.
I'm in SouthWest Charlotte. If anybody knows of a shop that can swap out the tires in the $8 to $10 per wheel range, please let me know.
(That's having the wheel brought in already off the car.)
Thanks

Thanks. I'll keep them in mind. It would probably be easier and quicker for me to drive 30 miles to Mark at Lake Norman than trying to drive to Independence Blvd. I'm about 5 miles from Carowinds.

Alot of places won't touch used tires, let alone flipping slicks.

check out Hess Tire on N Tryon St OR in Monroe...have used them for a long time & been very happy with them...in Monroe, see Steve, & tell him you know Karen from SCCA...he's a true car guy...got to say, they love me cuz I always bring biscuits or donuts for everybody that's there, mechanics & customers, when I show up @ 8:00 on a sat morning...they've flipped tires for me & mounted all kinds of things...on N Tryon, if I call ahead, they will wait for me when I get off work cuz I can barely make it by 6...they have put all kinds of toys on my cars & I've felt their $$ were fair...if they put a tire on the car they torque it so you can get it off if needed...klb
