CCR-SCCA will yet again be represented at the largest car show on Earth. AutoFair is a car show, swap meet, car auction, and more all in one. Sept. 21-22
So grab your car, clean it up and represent your club proudly. No matter your discipline, represent. We usually have a high number of AutoCross cars and I would like to see some more hill climb or wheel to wheel cars.
Thank you to all that have represented in the past. We always have a good time at this show. The entertainment, people watching, is a wonderful comedy in itself.
Ten spots are available for Saturday and Sunday. You can come one day or both. Morning meet is at Ruby Tuesdays off Bruton Smith Blvd at 630am. Cars must be set in position inside the speedway by 800am and can't move until 500pm.

Is this the Good Guys event at the speed way? I may make it with the Boss. Not sure what day. Is there room where CCR sets up for a trailer? I don't have tags for the car anymore.

No, this is not good guys. No, we can't bring trailers in. Unregistered is not an issue. We get trailer parking passes on the back side of the speedway, and then we can drive into the speedway without any trouble from Johnny.

I wouldn't mind bringing my Camaro out and showing it off a little. I'm just concerned about the date, I plan on starting a big project on it next week after the 24 hours this weekend. Going to be rebuilding the rear end to put a posi in it and some larger gears, possibly converting to disc brakes, and also swapping in a T56 transmission. Had planned on having until the next SCR event on the 29th to finish it, but this show is a week before that =/
Can I put my name down and if I know the week before that I'm not going to be finished in time someone else can fill it? Don't want to take a spot and not be able to make it and cause someone else to miss out on it.

My car is inoperable after the 24 hour event. I am trying desperately to get some new motor mounts in and installed. If it works out, I can be there Sunday, but I will have to let you know if/when they come in.

I'm not sure yet. I will talk to Chris. We have a few weeks off and the car is good. I'm not sure when the ball of the new aero package gets rolling though. I will checks and see if Willie has his car back together yet. Hopefully McManus and Dustin Webb can make it out. I know it's the weekend before the hillclimb though.

Trying to get my planning for this weekend straight.
Where is the car show actually at? Do I need to arrive at the same time as everyone else to make sure we are all parked together I'm guessing? Does anyone have an address for the meeting place? Sorry I'm not that familiar with the Charlotte area.
I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the show a lot, but it's going to be a long day considering how early I've got to get up to get to Charlotte by 6:30 from Lexington hehe.

Steven- it's at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We all have to drive in together- everyone- not just us- everyone.. has to be at their spots before they open the gates to paying spectators, and we have to stay until they close the gates. It's about traffic control and pedestrian safety.
We will be meeting at 6:30 AM at the Ruby Tuesday on Bruton Smith Blvd. That's exit #49 off I-85 north in Concord. Thats about a mile or so from the speedway, which is right by zMAX Dragway.

I suppose I can do Sunday. "Sponsoring" a LeMons car, but after seeing the schedule I don't think we'll be there on Sunday for the end. You guys decide if you'd rather see the MINI or the Miata.
