I MAY... note that is MAY... have an open seat for a co-drive in a CSP Miata for the September 29 & 30 CHASING THE DRAGON Hillclimb in Robbinsville, NC. I had a driver lined up who is now unable to attend...
Car rental is $350 for the weekend and agreement to cover repairs needed due to your driving. This is a new hillclimb car we are building up to rent for events... you won't set the record for CSP but you can learn a bit about the sport, enjoy a GREAT event and run on a $35 Novice license through the Hillclimb school and Mentor program. (Classroom instruction will be downtown Friday night in Robbinsville. Loaner Nomex gear is available for free through the Second Gear Program. You will need to supply a legal helmet.)
Let me know if you are interested. First come, first served. If you always wanted to try a hillclimb, this is a great way to start. Thanks!
Please do not respond here on forum. Email me at : editor@thesoutherndriver.com Thanks! ;D

Too bad you are looking for a novice....just kidding, I let my license run out and haven't driven a miata(other than street a few times) for....about 2 years.

With the novice program, you can run on a novice license... but you can get your license updated by sending in paperwork and requesting it. Two years is okay to get reinstated...just have to request it. $35.
I offered the possible ride as a novice to help someone get started but ... I'm open to experienced drivers as well. The car is not going to be fastest of the CSP cars but it's a great way to get started. Combined with Second gear loaner program, it's about as cheap as you could run an event.
