THIS is the place... Thanks again to all the workers, spectators and crew that came out! Even in the pouring rain... no where else I'd rather be. Not like I was going to melt or anything... Attachments:

OK, here's my usual contribution. As always, I am releasing these for use to Drivers, Sponsors, SCCA, and the Southern Driver for any purposes they like, as long as they are not sold for profit without prior approval. I would ask that you credit Rodney Maxwell wherever possible. Also, I have been asked by a couple of folks how they can thank me (and my wife) for the pictures, or even for volunteering. If you are serious about it, repay us in kind...Sandblast Rally is coming up in March, and they always need volunteers...and I always want more pictures of my car in action! www.fasthavoc.net/linkedimage/Chasing%20the%20Dragon%20III/

Hi Y'all. Just got back from NC to FLA last evening. Here's a timelapse of the Launch area from Sunday Morning sometime. Shows a bunch of the comp cars taking off in succession. Neat that it looks so routine in fast forward...

Killboy will do all of your shots on a CD for $39, $5 shipping. I asked him about getting all of my shots, he said go to the website, order 7 shots ($39), and he'd do all of the shots of your car on the CD. Just ordered mine!

ANOTHER BIG THANK YOU to Alan and Kellie for helping to manager the event. For the third time, they drove up from Bushnell, Florida just to help run the Dragon Hillclimb event. Alan races motorcycles... and he's not even a member of SCCA...(we are about to fix that...).
These two do EVERYTHING... pick up trash, herd cats, help me keep my sanity, work corners, run water and radio batteries, put up banners, pick up signs... I saw Alan working with Steve and the gang reeling that wire back up on spool by hand on the back of the truck and knew there would be some sore people Monday. Kellie jumps in and fixes stuff minutes before it comes to my mind... and when I bring it up, she smiles and says"Already done." AND she feeds me Snickers... when my energy is running low. She's my buddy...
Thanks again Alan and Kellie for coming up to help! We could not pull these events off without a lot of people volunteering ... we have a wonderful group of people and we DO appreciate you! Thanks!

De Nada Mi Amigos. Its rewarding to be involved as a volunteer and to see you all enjoying an idea that's become reality. I've had my share of tumbles on two wheels. Guardrails, trees and rocks all hurt way more than grassy runoff areas and airfence do. I respect the dangers you folks are faced with and never realized how enjoyable it'd be to help everyone have a safe and fun weekend chasing dragons.
And by the way, there's a reason some of the fastest times are run by cars with motorcycle engines...

With another Shoutout to Darryl and Lori at Killboy.com for their excellent work, Please lets all USE these pictures, Your pictures, their pics, my pics and all the videos to share the experience and bring more competition to the Hill. Ted and everyone else involved have done IMO and amazing job of creating this event out of thin air. My first time up to help I half expected a revolution to occur - Real Roads Racing in Robbinsville is a COOL thing!

The run up the Dragon Hill Climb was just as the name "chasing the dragon" means on the streets. One run on the hill and like heroin you're hooked. This event truly deserved "event of the year".
OK for a rookie, 16th over-all.
I will be back. 13 hour drive and an over night stay, one way, was worth it.
