Registration is going a bit slow. Roebling is a great event on a fantastic track. Roebling is easily the fastest track we have.
We really want to make this event a success so we can keep it on the schedule in the future.
Please sign up if you think you can be there

24 drivers showed...had a blast but a lot of attrition. Caracal FV lost it's engine, Ken Owens lost engine in his Tr-6, Brian Gause lost engine... Robert McManus did great all weekend but late Sunday lost his fuel pump, Tony lost his starter in Fiat, Mark Seiler lost a hub bearing late Saturday... a Diasio had mechanical problems. Buccaneer Region put on a great event though and all had plenty of fun and seat time. Great thanks to Larry Frazier and Linc and the BUC gang! Shane Findlan did awesome... his limitation was tires and Robert loaned him some good rubber for his last runs of the day. HE WAS COOKING! Dustin did very well..he's getting quicker every event. Good tires definitely helped! Kathryn Karns (Clemson Marketing Major) caught on to Elvira VERY well for her first time on track.... TJ was 2/10ths of a second off CSP track record at 1:24.3 and Kathryn was running 1:29s! (That is a top speed of 105 in straight.) She is wanting to get her license so she can co-drive with Nate Wimbrow in his Spec Miata at Dragon IV in June, 2013. TJ took first (breaking his past best time) and Kat took 2nd in CSP. Jedi had some tire problems... could not get them warm without pushing them and every time I pushed them in a turn, the tires lost adhesion in a snap. Figured out is it was tire condition, alignment and tire selection... learned some I can use for next year. Still had fun and brought it home in one piece. Great way to spend my 55th birthday...on track with family, friends and SCCA family. Attachments:

It truly was a great weekend. Even with the issues I had with the car there is no place I would have rather been. Good times with great people! I am already making plans for next year and I can't wait until spring. ;D

Hey Ted, during the 2010 SEDIV TT season I ran a 1:23.870(CSP) at Roebling Road. Event #5 July,18th........From what I understand the fastest time before that was a 1:240xx by John H.

I believe you are right Charlie... there are two different sets of records I was shown at the track from Buccaneer Region. One is official and the other is not. One still had McMillen (Heath I think) in a CRX with the record which was faster than yours but I don;t think it is correct... I'll try to do some research and figure it out. TJ was really cooking!! The front tires were from last year and the rears had 4 events on them. I told him he had no chance at record but...I was wrong. Charlie, we miss you man. You want to hang on to that record, you better get a car together and come on back! ;D It would be great to have you running with us again! You'd LOVE the Dragon for sure!

I agree with everyone else. AMAZING weekend! I had a blast and can't wait to get back down there again. Also glad i got the opportunity to run my car across the sacles and see exactly how much of a fat ... it is. Lol. I guess now all we have to look forward to is winter and tinkering inside garages til next year. Big ups to everyone who came out and made this even happen

Great event as always at Roebling in November. Fellowship, friendship, competition, seafood and sunshine. Great memories despite the bearing failure.
Non-race bonus, stopped by that music store you may have seen on 80 heading to the track...turns out Randy Wood is the owner and I got the chance to sit in on a bluegrass jam. The $45,000 mandolin was impressive but, the picture of Randy with a guitar player and the note "Randy, thanks for all your help. Sincerely, Johnny Cash" was off the charts.
So blessed.

I dont think I ever found the record for RR posted anywhere. got my info from talking to other CSP drivers...PLEASE buy that boy of yours some tires! ;D....The Dragon looks like a ton of fun and i would love to see my car in action on that hill....If you know of anyone looking for a track/autocross/hillclimb ready car,let me know..

Sorry for a late reply! came home to an entire family with the flu, and work (darn...gotta pay for car parts somehow). As Ted stated above - the car (and driver) had a night and day difference between Saturday and Sunday. About a 10 second difference related to two major changes: 1. Paula showing me the fast lines! (THANKS!!!) at the expense of her personal car (I don't think they are supposed to smoke like that, are they?) 2. The generosity of Robert McManus for loaning me a set of Hoosier/BFG tires off of his Camaro. I had come with Goodyear Eagle F-1s but they were simply not up to the task at hand.
Fantastic event! Great track and my first time there - I will be back again. Thanks to all the hard work by the organizers and staff to make this event come together and be a success!
Looking forward to next year!!! See you all then!
Still can't get this smile off my face! People at work think I am on something - ;D

It's so nice that we all had such a nice time in Savannah. Word is that Bucc is losing $$ on this event to the point where it will not be on schedule next year. We need to do 2 things: write nice things about this event on their forum and try to encourage more drivers to enter the event should we succeed in getting them to hold it again. Our division is large and spread out which makes it hard for us "easterners" to travel to Alabama for TGPR events and for them to travel to events in the east. Entry fees have to be higher than they were a few years ago to make a realistic dent in expenses. Over the winter, we SEDiv TT drivers need to discuss our future and what we can do to grow our program.
Thanks to all who came to Roebling and had a good time in spite of our various troubles. Poor Sophia would not start but thanks to Robert, could be pulled to start, then she developed a terrible vibration in 5th gear so I did not push her to do more than she could. Hoping to get her in good shape for the future.

Good points Tony. I have just stepped up to TT this year after many many years of Autocrossing. Yeah, I should have listened to all of you and done it sooner, but.... I am here now and have dragged along a couple of young guys into it with me, and am trying to find a couple more. The Novice TT program, and allowing novices to run at the Hillclimbs was the turning point for me and for a couple of others I know. Suddenly, this becomes worth the challenge of building/buying/stealing a car that is prepped for TT (I stole one from Ted, helped blow it up, stole one from TJ, and finally built one of my own). I really hope Roebling is back! That course is a blast in a Vette and with some more time and experience I am sure I could start making serious time.
One suggestion I heard in the paddock was to make it a dual points event, so that "Last Chance" would really mean just that - the chance to close out enough event for a championship run, and it would help bring more people to the event. Go ahead and charge a bit more for a dual event such as that - well worth it IMHO.
Not sure who to contact in the BUCC region - but that was a blast of an event, the time of year and weather was great - and what a great setting.
Not sure what else to say - but bring it back!

The event Chair is Robert Frazier refrazier44@comcast.net
The Bucc RE is Ted Migchelbrink tmigchelbrink@rocketmail.com
Send both a note. RR has only drawn 20-24 entrants the past few years. Robert is under the gun from his Board to make the event a financial success. He is also not getting a lot of support from his Board. More people need to attend if they want to see it keep going.

My jumping into TT and hillclimbs came very quickly. I had only got my car prepped for the dragon a week prior including dropping in a new engine/trans. I made it to TGPR but roebling was just too soon for me to afford going. Wish I could have been there.

It is a life long affliction that can involve your entire family. But, welcome to the sport.
