Here is the biggest thing I took from the NCAC this weekend, I propose we all do a care package for one or many persons in harms way over there.
I worked a corner with one of the many active duty people there and we talked about being over "there" meaning in harms way. I told him I had sent a care package to one of my friends over there,my co-driver Jake. They had the same needs then and now!!! Baby wipes and Beef Jerky were the 2 top things due to obvious reasons. He also told me how important mail call was and when he did not receive anything it was very disappointing! I would like to see if all the clubs in NC could start a care package program, because it would really make a difference to our people over "there". I also sent car mags, but something besides MRE meals would be greatly appreciated by our troops. Thanks, Dave

This is one of the best posts i have seen in a long time. We need to step up and SUPPORT OUR TROOPS who are at risk. For us. If each autocrosser picked a name and sent a package, think what that would mean.

Hey Dave - CCR usually does a Charity AX event in December. Typically it's holiday related - Toys for tots. I see no reason why we couldn't also collect peoples old car magazines as well. We just need a place to send them.
