It's not zMax, but it IS Triad! Worth the trip (weather permitting).

I'll make another plea on this one. If you have never run with Triad.... and you have never run at Danville..... DO IT!!!!!! It's a fun site with great grip... the courses there are always fast and ballsy with a pretty good mix of patience built in... and the TSCC guys are amazing to run with. It's right at 2 hours on the dot from Exit 49 (ZMax) and all highway, so a pretty easy drive. Pack warm, though.... Danville always either feels like Siberia or the Sahara... there's no in-between

I heartily endorse this event and this site.
Unfortunately, budgetary considerations will keep me at home this time,

Danville is my 2nd favorite site behind zMax. Possibly my 3rd favorite site pending the Michelin re-pave. No poles. No curbs. Nothing to hit at all except your marks, or cones if your a slob.
Here is what you get at Danville:

We are meeting at our usual spot, the McDonalds off I-85 exit 49 at 6:15.
Danville, much better than a charity event at Knights.
And the weather looks good.

You guys that don't travel have NO clue what you're missing. Danville is such an awesome site, and the courses are always fast and ballsy. Next year we need a bigger travelling group from CCR to come up, have fun, and support our Triad brethren!
And Licursi, here are our runs. It's amusing to watch our different driving styles being about as dead-even as they can be

Besides the valuable seat time and awesome competition, you meet great people and build connections between clubs. Wish I could have made it yesterday..

I had a blast... even though I wasn't able to drive... I had fun...
I got to take 5 wonderful "cone killer" rides with Shenaigans where we were yelling Sorry to the course workers the whole time
And then I rode with Steven and Licursi for some of their runs... So I'm taking credit for their fastest runs since I believe I was with them with those happened... so I'm taking the credit... it was ALL ME!!!! (It had nothing to do with the driver or the car nothing at all)

Cyndi, if you are taking all the credit, I guess you get all the blame for the poor course worker that left the 3rd cone in the slalom down, and ruining my fast run.
Awseome time as usual with the Traidites. Great season once again. And this winter crap sucks.
And a thumbs up on the 45.9, nice job.

the poor course worker that left the 3rd cone in the slalom down, and ruining my fast run. I was working just past the slalom, and when I started yelling at that guy to pick up the cone, I just got a blank stare.

TRIAD= fantastic. Ran with them in the 70's. Took 3 straight class championships, got thrown in a pool at a meeting. Attended many fun club meetings. Got lost on several road rallys. Great club, and best of all have some friends from then. Lifts a glass to Jeff Yeattes, my closest? or Mike Havelick.. or many others, Ron Gentry. This post brings back so many wonderful memories. If you ever get a chance to Autocross with this group, DO NOT MISS IT.
