Man...don't make it seem like I can beat James there Travis. He may be older, but he's got experience. Think of it as if were young Anakin all young and energetic but with little knowledge. And he's old Yoda, slow to move and a slight bit on the graying hair side. But once he's fired up Yoda moves...with a fury.
You're poking a sleeping bear there.

LOL, I used the excuse generator and the first one I got was: "I need to get my car corner balanced" That's funny if you realize how many times Travis has kicked me out of his car because I was upsetting the corner balance.
Oh and speaking of getting skirted, that reminds me Travis, Tammy still has a free wish since she beat your handicap ;-)
And not to worry Joe, I'll make sure he has no excuses at zMax.

Lmfao, Travis is a grade-A professional trash talker. I love it. It is great to see threads starting to appear that are funny, and entertaing. We have had some serious thought provoking threads recently. it's nice to see a little fun return to the site, also.

They're beyond hope.... to the point that I'm utterly terrified of having to commute in the rain.

Starting to like the Mini. It still has a stock suspension with the exception of the 15 x 8 wheels but this will give me a chance to check the balance before we tear it apart for the full STU makeover this winter. No idea how it will like a fast course. Bought a second Cooper S for parts so I have a complete motor to build. If anyone needs some interior parts we have plenty.

If it's like my MINI, the stock suspension is fine. They're damn well balanced from the factory, so long as your shocks aren't blown. Adjust your tire pressures so you can get the rear end a bit loose to get it to rotate. I'm running 55psi in the rear and 35-40psi front on my Star Specs, but no clue what it'll be like with your Hoosiers. Cyndi said Vicki loved it at the hillclimb, but mentioned it being a bit loose, so if that's the case you're all set

Vicki's first run at the hillclimb was with no front sway bar, and it was very loose. Hooked up the front bar and it had a much better balance. Do not like the stock torsen diff. Will install one of my units over the winter so it has a clutch pack setup. Plan to do springs and shocks, and a rear adjustable bar. Have the design done for some new camber plates so have plenty of projects for the CNC.

Looking to borrow a fender roller, anyone? Raj, if what I think you are asking for is correct here's on old dirt track tip. We used baseball bats. Preferably aluminum. You put the skinny end beteewn the tire and fender and as you roll it the bat will do the work until you reach the tire clearance your looking for.

Withing using a heat gun to heat up the paint...Using a bat like that is a great way to crack your paint...

Cover the edge in painters tape in layers, too. We managed to do mine in a fairly ghetto manner without cracking paint just doing the tape thing. A buddy took a big ratchet and sockets starting at like 27mm and working up to 35mm. He'd wedge it in between the tire and fender, put some pressure on it to start bending in the fender, and then ratchet it so it goes right around the tire. Took quite a few passes and moving up in socket size to bend further and further, but in the end we finished it using tools that we already had lying about and without cracking the paint.

Rajat are you on 225 kooks on 9's? Depending on the offset, ride height and camber you might not have to do a lot. Possibly just a massage, but yeah to be safe heat em up somehow.
That should be a good str battle by the way. Where's all the pro class trash talk? Hoonigan?

Yes do you have a factory arm rest that goes between the seats?

Shouldn't trash talkers have the ability to back up that trash talk? And all this with an "N" on the side of your car T-Ball. GEEZ!
The pro class leaves the trash talking in house and not in the public eye. We're Pro's.

STU MINI? How is that? Yes do you have a factory arm rest that goes between the seats? Road Race/Time Trial classes... not AutoX. STU is "Super Touring Under"... and it's something like 3.2 liter for the "Over/under". The STU cars I've seen around here are 3 series BMWs and a GORGEOUS Lotus Exige at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

a fender roller is no different than using a baseball bat , if you go slow with either you wont crack the paint even if the temps are in the 50-60s . It takes a little time and patience to get a clean flare . And for 225s you just need a slight massage , my 275s fit with just a little flare until I slammed the car .
